Following the festivities of December, January arrives. It brings along a return to work, cold, dark days, and for many, financial stresses. You’re probably familiar with Blue Monday, but have you heard of Brew Monday?
Blue Monday is deemed to be the most depressing day of the year. Whilst born from a travel company’s PR stunt, the notion that January is a tough time for employees carries weight.
In fact, there is a link between reduced daylight causing low moods, depleted energy, and a loss of interest. This is referred to as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which is a type of depression.
